Tom Saunders of Saunders Law Group announced today that both of the Florida Registered Paralegals at the Firm were recently awarded the National Association of Legal Assistants Certification. Marcie K. Alvey and Mary Jo Jerkins of Saunders Law Group are now among the small group of paralegals who hold both the Florida Registered Paralegal certification as well as the NALA certification.
The NALA certification is given only after rigorous testing over two days covering all aspects of the modern paralegal’s role in today’s legal system. Mary Jo has been with the firm since March, 2002 and Marcie joined the firm in February, 2003. Marcie’s practice predominately is in the Firm’s medical malpractice section including wrongful death and personal injury. Mary Jo’s practice centers on family law matters as well as personal injury. Both paralegals practice along with the firm’s lawyers offering legal services in Lakeland, Bartow, Winter Haven and all other cities in Polk, Hardee and Highlands counties.
